I've put on some weight since the last time I had to go job hunting and I knew there was no way to lose it before my next need for a suit. So my size 42x32 pants/suits got hung up and I ordered these in size 52R with size 46 pants, since I can fit into my size 46x30 jeans with comfort, I figured this was reasonable. Imagine my surprise when I went to put them on this morning before going to meet a recruiter and even as I pulled them on knew something wasn't quite right. If I had to guess I'd put these at about a size 42 waist, maybe 40. Barely even fit them over my butt. Most definitely couldn't pull them closed, not even a little. So I wore jeans to the interview/meeting. Thank goodness this wasn't a job/client interview, I've worked with the recruiter many times and they understood my plight, but it was still embarrassing (granted I should have tried the suit on much earlier than this, but I was trusting the sizing and other reviews). The tag inside the pants does say 46, so I don't know what the disconnect is.Other than that, they're not bad. Here are my "other than the size" pros/cons.Pro: There's a non-slip band along the inside of the pant waist for holding the dress shirt, I really like this feature and look forward to seeing how well it works. The jacket fits perfectly. The pin-striping is very nice. Inside is some slick red trim that I really like. There are two "large" inside pockets, one on each side, and on the left side is also a small "pen" pocket and a ... "medium" pocket I imagine might be good for credit cards, business cards, etc. Nifty. No loose threads, pretty decent stitching job. It's not some $1K custom tailored job, but for the price is more than adequate.Con: 46" waist doesn't really seem to be 46", no matter what the tag says. The size/care tag itself is a big (2"x3" or so?) vinyl-like thing that is only sewn along one side, under the waistband, so it's flapping around and I imagine might be uncomfy. Most tags this size are usually made of cloth and stitched along all 4 sides so that it's not bugging you while you wear it.Giving it a 3/5 because the sizing issue makes the suit useless until I drop about 40lbs. However, if it fits for you, you'll probably like it just fine. When I was scrolling through the lightning deals one day, this bad boy popped up and I thought to myself, "Dear God. I have to have it." I used the website's fitting guidelines to figure out which size jacket was going to fit nice and snug up against my body, as is my preference. Now I don't like to think my chesticles are overly large for my body size, but when this suit came, I noticed the jacket fit my shoulders and chest all fine, but was a little big in the arms (in girth, not length - ask any woman and she'll tell you that the girth is the part that matters most). But all in all, I got the pants hemmed, and now this is my go to suit for when I try to convince people I'm Patrick Adams from suits.Fit was as expected for 44R. Just had to shorten both the pants and jacket sleeves. Pants fit quite nicely and I am not a skinny dude, waist fit perfectly. Not an "expensive" looking suit, but you can't really tell unless you're really looking at it, and who wants to stare anyway? Is it worth half the price of those suit separates that you can get at your local department store for about $200? Probably. Well, the material is not as thick (dare I say durable?) as the department store brands, but I can live with that.I got my whole groomsmen to buy this suit as it's a lot cheaper or about the same price as renting a suit for my wedding. The jacket itself fit excellent and with a good tailor (which is required), it was a good modern looking fit. The pants on the other hand was way too wide. Even after some tailored adjustments it still seems too big.Overall I have no regrets and even the tailor said the suit was good quality. I would recommend this suit to anyone and just remind them to really really thin out the pants. We purchased a 36 Short for my son. The jacket fit him very well but, the slacks were too tight. While he could zip up the slacks, the pockets did not lay flat. We will need to take them to the tailor to loosen up the hip area when we get the inseam hemmed. Can't complain too much for the price. Since my son is still young and may be gaining more weight in the next couple of years, we needed to get him an inexpensive suit for times he needs to dress up.Bought this suit last week with overnight shipping for a wedding this past weekend (I have other suits in case it didn't make it). My most recent suit purchase was a 38R that was just a touch bigger than I hoped so I ordered this in a 36R and it fit perfectly. The color is true to the picture.Although much longer than I need, the pants fit wonderfully (neither restrictive nor too loose). You do need to get the pants hemmed. This is the first suit I've bought that didn't have hemmed pants, but another reviewer had mentioned it so I was prepared. As a reference for all of the above, I'm 5' 7" and 140lbs. Typically, I wear 30" waist, 30" length pants.Great suit, fits well. I like the stitching and the fabric. With that said It is not a $1,000 suit, don't expect it to be. I have warn it probably 50 times and haven't had any issues but I have noticed some thread that wasn't trimmed or lines that don't match completely perfect ... Stuff that only the person wearing would notice. I have had lots of complements and very pleased over all.the suit is beautiful. its amazingly nice, but the sizing chart was off.....im a big guy but according to the chart it would fit me. that was wrong. the suit does not fit, but im actually going to try and lose weight this year, so ill keep it and hope i can fit into it.
